What is Thermography?

Infrared Thermography is a leading edge technology that was initially used by the military to detect changes in heat and temperature radiating from objects while searching out their enemies. More recently this technology has been applied to other industries, because of its non-destructive testing capabilities.

These industries include the building, electrical and medical industries. More commonly known with regards to these applications as Thermography or Thermal Imaging, Thermography is an alternative way, or more non-invasive, way of performing an “x-ray”. It simply works by detecting the change in radiation of the subjects being tested because when the radiation of the subject changes so does the temperature. As clearly shown on the image of the house on our websites home page, it clearly shows the hot and cold areas in the home.
